Lash extensions are not a one-size-fits-all beauty treatment. The true magic happens when your lash artist customizes length, density, and mapping to highlight the natural symmetry and contours of your eye shape.
1. Almond Eyes (The Universal Canvas)
Almond eyes are characterized by slightly tapered corners and an oval appearance. This is the most versatile eye shape, suitable for almost any style!
- Recommended Style: Cat Eye or Kitten Eye mapping with Hybrid or Light Volume.
- Why it works: Elongating the outer corners complements the naturally elegant almond curve.
2. Hooded & Monolid Eyes (Creating Lift and Openness)
With hooded eyes, an extra layer of skin hangs over the crease, making natural lashes appear hidden or pushed downward.
- Recommended Style: L-Curl or M-Curl lashes in a Doll Eye (Open Eye) map using Hybrid or Volume.
- Why it works: The flat base of L/M curls extends past the hood before bending upward, creating an instant lifting effect without touching the brow bone.
3. Round Eyes (Softening and Elongating)
Round eyes are large and expressive, with visible white space around the iris.
- Recommended Style: Classic or Textured Hybrid in a Natural or Soft Cat-Eye map with relaxed C-curls.
- Why it works: Avoid extreme D-curls in the center, which can make the eye look startled; instead, draw the focus outwards for an alluring elongation.
4. Deep-Set & Downturned Eyes
Deep-set eyes sit further back under the brow bone. Downturned eyes feature outer corners that sit slightly lower than the inner corners.
- Deep-Set Eyes: Use longer lengths (11mm-14mm) with strong curls (CC/D) so lashes extend noticeably past the brow brow line.
- Downturned Eyes: Use Squirrel Mapping where the peak length is placed just before the outer corner to lift the eye line.
